This photo has a wonderful rule of thirds. The fact that he is toward the right side of the photo makes the photo more interesting to me. Also the fact that it was so foggy outside also causes positive and negative space. The background is basically white and makes Joey stand out more with his black shirt. The shutter speed was fast and made me be able to get him smiling/laughing perfectly in the moment. I also really enjoy the lighting in this photo, it is very subtle and soft.
In this photo I chose, I chose this because I really enjoy the texture that is super excentuated by the depth of field.Another thing is the lighting that is on the tip of the leaf. I also really enjoy how you can tell we are basically inside a bush, with the negative space that is shown. My vision for this picture was exactly this. I wanted the texture throughout the leaf to be shown just at one part and the rest to be in a shadow. I don't have any emotion behind this photo other than just Mother Nature.
In this photo it definitely shows Use of diagonals. The picture is slightly tilted to the left giving it an interesting feeling instead of just being straight across. This picture also has really great texture. I love that the water in not in focus in the front but the ripples in the middle are in focus making texture an important aspect of the photo.
In this photo, I really enjoy the point of view. This photo was shot with lighting in the background. I love that you can see the pickles very clearly through the grass. This shutter speed was fast getting the plants. This picture reminds me of summer and heat. It looks like it was taken in 90 degree weather, sadly it was taken during fall.
This is a photo of Monica that I chose. I had the lighting in the background to the left, you can sort of see that on her nose. The negative space in the picture really contrasts with the white cloth over her head. One of my favorite things about this photo is that her face is not in focus but small pieces of her hair actually are in focus. This picture definitely gives somewhat mystery. I would like to say it was the picture but honestly I think it is the look in her eye.
This is one of my most favorite photos I've ever taken. The lighting in the background subtly on the petals in the background,The petals are out of focus, which makes the picture more interesting to look at. The depth of field is extrmely shallow.
This photo personally makes me wonder about different people. Such as what is going on in their life? Where do they live? What kind of lifestyle would this be? The Rule of Thirds is also a large aspect in this picture. I love that you can see the different records on his right (our left). The depth of field is obviously pretty large in this picture, nothing in particular is in focus it is the all around photo.
This is a cute little old man working in his own pizza place. Again, the rule of thirds is playing a huge part in this picture, I love that you can see the bread, the ovens, and even the register in the bottom left corner. The only thing I would change would be the lighting. I wish the lighting was darker and better on his face.
This is a photo of a flower that I took during last June. The depth of field in this photo is definitely extremely shallow. I love that you can literally see the inside of the flower and all the rest is completely blurry. The lighting is coming from the top part, but its very subtle and there isn't extremely harsh lighting, The blue in the background also is striking to me.
This picture has large depth of field to me. You can see the fly very clearly, but can still see the prickly things. The colors are super vivid. This shutter speed was fast, to get the photo of the fly. I took many pictures of the fly before he/she left, but got this one successfully.
